SUPPORT SERVICES
LEASING - Facilities at Seminole Ridge Community High School may be leased
for a reasonable fee. Please call 422-2670 or 422-2673 for more information.
FREE GED CLASSES - Come and earn your diploma with us. Our friendly staff
of certified teachers will help you to develop the skills needed for success. Classes
are Monday thru Thursday from 6:00 - 9:00pm. Registration and placement dates:
Only Monday and Tuesday at 6:00pm sharp in Building 6 Room 203.
FREE ESOL CLASSES (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
ESOL classes offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced - Conversation, Listening,
Reading, and Grammar. Prepare for college, technical school, workplace advancement,
or personal achievement. Classes are Monday thru Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
Registration and placement test dates: Only Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 pm sharp in
Building 9 Room 101.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHER TRAINING Learn the skills and techniques to
successfully manage classroom/behavior situation. Eligibility: A day-to-day
substitute is a temporary employee who works on an as needed basis. An official
transcript(s) reflecting a minimum of 30 semester hours of college credit is
required.
THE EXIT OPTION PROGRAM Is a program for students who are at least in
their fourth year of high school. Students need to have passed at least one portion
of the FCAT. This program is geared for students with G.P.A. lower than 2.0 and/or
insufficient credits for graduation and would like to participate in school activities
as well as walk with their peers for graduation.
The required mandatory parent orientation is in the Media Center on January 6 at
6:00 pm. Also, the mandatory TABE test is given in Room 5-119 on January 7 at
6:00 pm. For additional information and enrollment, contact your Seminole Ridge
Community High School counselor.
