A class for non-native English speakers. A review of vowels and consonants to learn to pronounce American English clearly, correctly, and confidently.

Accounting Basics II Boot Camp

Refresher for accounting. If you have had accounting and have not used in a while - take this class. If you have no background in Accountinig need to take the Tues/Thur Class. One of these classes or knowledge of accounting is a prequisite to taking the Quickbook class.

Basic Computers, Beginner

This course is for true beginners. Learn the fundamentals of using a personal computer. Understand the basics of windows. For individuals who want to get a complete working knowledge of a PC - this is a perfect start. Learn about hardware, using the mouse, windows and software applications.

Digital Photography, Intermediate

Focus will be on technique and advanced capture.
Must have a single lens reflex (SLR). Learn how to compose picture, visualize final print. Measuring exposure is critical to a good image. Learn what lens to use and zoom ratio.

Cover the elements that make a good image, proper exposure, how the camera works and how to control it.

Learn to Type Using Computer Keyboard

Learn to type using the computer. Learn the finger placement and proper touch typing technique. Keyboard accuracy is just as important as typing speed, so do not rush through the typing exercise.

Personal Fitness/ Circuit Training

Leadership in Fitness Training (LIFT) is a fitness program created through the National School Fitness Foundation. It is an integrated aerobic and strength building program created to improve your health. The combination of weight training and aerobic exercises will have you looking and feeling better in just 12 short weeks. Circuit includes 18 weight stations, 6 cardio machines and 12 steppers.

Aerobics, Low Impact

Learn proper warm up and cool down techniques. Learn how to find percent of fat calories in food. Learn how to iincrease muscular strength. Learn about flexibility, proper weight lifting techniques and how to measure metabolic rate and energy levels.

Basketball, Open

Adult basketball is open to anyone over the age of 25 years. Provides open play each Monday and Wednesday evenings. Excellent way to get a vigorous workout and improve your basketball skills.

Cardio Kickboxing

Kickboxing does more than deliver a great high adrendaline workout- it wakens your inner strength. Kickboxing is a safe, fun and effective way to burn calories while building your endurance, coordination and power. You will do warm up exercises, kickboxing routines, buns and thighs kicking drills, and cool down stretches and ab routines.

Table Tennis, Beginner

Learn basic skills and techniques and rules of table tennis. Learn shakehands grip, simple serves, forehand and backhand drives, blocking, pushing, and the forehand loop.. Teaching will be supported by a state of art table tennis robot.
Paddles and balls will be provided. Do not WEAR CLOTHING OF WHITE AND ORANGE

Already skilled players, engage in table tennis that provides exerecise and low level sportsman like competition.

Golf, Boca Dunes

An introduction to the fundamentals of the golf game. Putting, chipping, pitching, irons and woods will be covered. Included are rules and etiquette. Instruction geared to all levels.
$6.00 charge each class for use of facility and materials. Golf classes are still conducted on holidays.

Bookkeeping and Accounting Basics for small businesses
Teacher: Bruno
Learn fundamental concepts of bookkeeping and accounting. Define and recognize a business transaction, classify assets and liabilities into current and long term, classify transactions into accounts receivable, notes receivable, accounts payable and notes payable. Learn accounting transactions and their effects, classify basic accounts into assets, liabilities, owners equality, revenue or expense, define journal entries, prepare a summary trial balance. Define and discriminate between accrual and cash basis accounting system and adjustments to account balances. Preparing a balance sheet, preparing income statements and preparing owner's capital statements will also be included.

Bookkeeping/QuickBooks for small businesses

This course will cover fundamentals of accounting within the Quick Books program. Topics that will be covered are as follows: charts of accounts, assets, liability, and equity accounts. Setting up a new company, purchases and vendors, banking, journal entries, sales and customers, payroll, depreciation, reporting, and budgeting.

Preparing for US Citizenship

Learn information needed to pass citizenship exam. Students will practice taking exams so that they will be prepared for the final test.
